Tesla Bulls is a FREE Tesla Subreddit Sentiment Analysis Tool that leverages Reddit posts and comments to provide insights into the overall sentiment of the Tesla community.
Hey there! I'm Max—a software engineer from Singapore, with a growing passion for Tesla and its future, especially innovations like the Model 3, Robotaxi, and Optimus. 🚀
If you find this project helpful, consider supporting me with a cup of coffee! ☕ Your support keeps the site running and motivates me to keep improving it.
Tesla (TSLA) is unlike any other stock—its strong following and presence on Reddit, combined with the visionary influence of Elon Musk, have created a unique market dynamic of its own. I built Tesla Bulls to help redditors better understand market sentiment around Tesla by tapping into the collective opinions and discussions on Reddit.
Yes, Tesla Bulls is and will continue to be free for everyone. There are no plans to monetize this project.
Currently, Tesla Bulls analyzes data exclusively from Reddit. However, there may be plans to expand the analysis by incorporating additional sources such as Tesla-related news, analyst coverage, and earnings releases to provide a more comprehensive view of market sentiment.
The data is currently refreshed every 12-24 hours. I'm looking to reduce this interval to every 3 hours.
TeslaBulls.com uses NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit) along with VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and sEntiment Reasoner) for sentiment analysis processing. VADER is specifically designed for social media text and informal language, making it ideal for this use case.
VADER works by assigning four key sentiment scores to each piece of text:
Once the score has been calculated, Each comment is then classified according to the compound score. The model is particularly effective at handling emojis, slang, and negations commonly found in social media posts.
While VADER provides good baseline sentiment analysis, please note that I'm not an ML engineer by profession. I'll continue improving the model's accuracy over time, but you may occasionally find posts/comments that are tagged incorrectly. Please bear with me as I improve this tool. Use this as a general analysis tool, but do not treat it as financial advice or guidance. (IMPORTANT!)
Absolutely! I'm always open to feedback, feature requests, and suggestions. If you have an idea or feedback, please reach out via buymeacoffee.com/teslabulls or X. Keep in mind that while I strive to implement improvements, I do have a hectic schedule, so your patience is appreciated.
